About Us
Clyde Amateur Rowing Club is a rowing club open to anyone interested in the sport, whether beginner or elite rower. Our membership includes rowers of all ages and levels of ability — from those looking to stay active to those competing at local, national, and international regattas. We also offer opportunities for members with disabilities to learn to row and participate recreationally or competitively.
Our Facilities
Clyde ARC is located in the West Boathouse on Glasgow Green, next to the Weir and close to the High Court, between the Saltmarket and the Albert Bridge.
The building is home to our boat fleet and land training equipment, and provides men’s and women’s changing facilities, toilets, and hot showers. Boats and blades are stored on the ground floor; upstairs there is central heating, an informal sitting area, and an erg room with weights.
Getting here
Follow directions to the western side of Glasgow Green. Look for the stone archway entrance, then head towards the pale cream building with blue doors — we are closest to the archway.
On the water
We row approximately 3 km of the River Clyde above the Weir, from the boathouse steps up to Belvedere.
Land training
The upstairs erg room has rowing machines and weights, available to members for cross-training and winter fitness work.
